Nelly Kelly

Nelly is a proudly trans and disabled freelance creative, producer, and consultant. They work predominantly in theatre (though occasionally in other art forms) as a writer, dramaturg, producer, facilitator, performer and consultant. They have worked internationally as a dramaturg, and their writing work has been performed across Scotland and the wider UK. They were recipient of the 2019 Scottish Society of Playwrights - New Playwrights Award.

They have delivered a range of trans and neurodiversity access consultancy services to a range of UK Arts organisations. They have a range of producing, coordination, and artist development experience, most notably having worked as the Artist Development co-ordinator at the National Theatre of Scotland, in that time, co-producing their Neurostages festival.

They live in a wee rural village out west of Glasgow. In their free time, they like to volunteer at their local nature reserve and go exploring the countryside with their wife and their wee dog, Frida.
